Jess A Sketch began as a very organic side project for lead artist & founder Jessica Talazac, who has worked in various positions in the Event & Hospitality industries for the last 17 years.

Formerly the Director of Special Events for a high-volume music venue, it was there that Jessica started adding on services for her clients including hand-drawn chalk signs and decor and the “Jess A Sketch” brand was born.

When the pandemic forced her to change career paths, Jessica began working for a luxury floral studio and fell in love with the world of flowers. She continued to maintain Jess A Sketch on the side, which steadily grew into permanent menus and murals for several restaurants and coffee shops around town.

After 3 years of learning and honing her floral and design skills, Jessica decided it was time for her next venture and spent some time freelancing at various studios and event companies before beginning to book events of her own. It was a natural progression to evolve the Jess A Sketch brand to a “Design Studio” bringing together the art, events, and florals she loves to create under one umbrella. She is looking forward to taking on many more creative projects in 2025 & beyond!
